Men still misinformed on ED
August 05, 2005
Men believe they are incomplete of their manlihood
when encountered with erectile
dysfunction problems. They fail to understand that all male
sexual dysfunction has
a medical cause. Liver or kidney disease, Parkinson's disease, lower
back pain, smoking, drug abuse or excessive alcohol cause erectile
dysfunction.
Psychological factors like stress, depression and interpersonal
relations influence men's sexual activities. But most cases occur
mainly due to medical reasons. Prescription drugs, Beta blockers
and decongestants can also cause ED. Erectile
dysfunction is also found to be an early symptom of a coming
health problem. Approximately 322 million men worldwide will experience
ED problems by 2025. At present only 27 million men seek treatment
for male impotence.
