Use Viagra Inhalers for Fast Results
June 21, 2005
June 21, 2005--In response to facilitating Viagra
users quicken their activity instead of waiting for an hour to get
erect, an inhaler has been developed which is expected to produce
'instant' results.
Chris Blackwellse, the Chief Executive of British firm Vectura,
feels strongly for the consumers' need to get an instant gratification,
and the hour-or-so long wait disconcerting.
The drug in the new inhaler, Apomorphine, is already used in a tablet
form to treat Erectile
Dysfunction. But Vectura says its action can be speeded up dramatically
if it is breathed directly into the lungs.
Pfizer's little blue-pill, Viagra, was the first mass-market treatment
for Erectile Dysfunction.
Blackwell and his colleagues are hoping to cash in on the greater
awareness of erectile dysfunction which Viagra's invention brought
about - and to steal some of Pfizer's customers - by promising that
its drug, so far known only as VR004, will act faster.
The drug, with active ingredient as Apomorphine Hydrochloride, works
by activating nerve cells in the brain which are linked to sexual
response.
These dopamine receptors, then, help regulate the nerve signals
which allow a man to achieve an erection.
