Philippines Nabbed Sellers of Fake Viagra

One more drug store in the province of Pangasinan
in Philippines was padlocked by the Department of Health (DOH) last
week after having been found selling fake 100-milligram Viagra
tablets and having an expired license to operate as a pharmacy.
Dr. Reynaldo Jacinto, chief of the enforcement and regulations division of the DOH regional office told that the personnel of his office inspected the drug store and found out that it was selling three fake Viagra tablets. He warned those buying Viagra tablets to be more careful as owners of drug stores may take advantage of them.
This was the second drug store closed by the DOH so far. The first was closed in the month of August in Alaminos City where counterfeit medicines and the prescription drug called valium worth P600, 000 (US$10,660) were seized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
The owner of the drug store was the sixth suspect so far arrested and charged since the intensified campaign against counterfeit medicines started
